After dating for only six months, Avril Lavigne and Nickleback frontman Chad Kroeger are engaged!
The Canadian rockers kept their relationship under wraps after the two first got together in February to co-write a song for the 27-year-old's upcoming fifth studio album.
A source told People, "A romantic relationship blossomed as they spent time writing together."
On August 8, the 37-year-old singer proposed with a huge 14-carat diamond ring. After the proposal, Avril's family said, "He makes her so happy. Both of their families could not be more excited."
This is Chad's first marriage and the second for the "Complicated" singer, who split from Sum 41 star Deryck Whibley in 2009. She had also dated Brody Jenner.
